Former deputy prime minister Deputy PM Joyce defended the One Nation leader after she called for mass deportations, arguing her statements were taken out of context.
Joyce made the remarks during an ABC interview earlier this year. He later berated a dog that showed up on camera during the taping.
Hanson then clarified she would not back away from previous prior inflammatory words. This followed a major broadcaster airing an interview between Hanson alongside far-right voice Tommy Robinson.
Joyce blamed the network of treating the story like a circus in its approach to the story.
