About the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery - who we are
As part of the Duchy of Cornwall, our nursery has been under the stewardship of Prince Charles for many years. His environmental values influence our work.
www.duchyofcornwallnursery.co.ukThe Duchy’s growing nursery site is a private estate-operated garden center near Lostwithiel, Cornwall with a 50-year growth period and new developments featuring a newer extension, retail space, and an Orangery restaurant. The Prince of Wales visited the site in July 2023 to see the extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Duchy revenue funds the Duke’s public, private, and charitable work. The nursery lies within the Duchy estate and is part of a long-standing estate operation which began public access in 1975. A fifty-year growth plan has guided its development. The nursery is among the South West’s most respected nurseries. Duchy of Cornwall Nursery continues to expand facilities including a new extension and maintains a focus on nature and horticulture.
