An hobbyist observer using Google Maps stumbled upon a wide circular hollow in northern Quebec. Experts at Quebec’s geological survey confirmed it is a colossal meteorite impact crater dating back 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The ground formation mirrors other confirmed craters and signals a violent prehistoric strike. Satellite images were mapped against field data to substantiate the discovery.
