The NFL is eliminating the annual Pro Bowl contest after 75 years. The league is scrapping the on-field contest, but top athletes will continue to be recognized. Players will continue to be named as Pro Bowlers to receive their annual honors.
Player honors will remain intact despite the elimination of the match. However, alternate players will no longer be acknowledged by the league. The move concludes the 75 year history of the annual game, but leading stars will continue getting their official Pro Bowl accolades each year.
