Qantas paid £270 million each for six Airbus A350 aircraft. The order launches nonstop links from Sydney to London and New York in 2026. The first aircraft touches down in the middle of 2026. Qantas will then scrap older planes before passengers board the new jets. Carriers based in Singapore, Dubai and Doha already operate these routes nonstop this year.
