The Rugby Football League has launched an inquiry into Wakefield Trinity. The move follows St Helens filing a complaint about a disputed bid for Harry Robertson.
In a statement, St Helens said it thinks Wakefield could have violated transfer rules. The RFL said it will review the details and determine if any breaches occurred.
Both sides have been asked to submit documents. RFL officials will meet club reps in the coming days.
