England secured the last‑32 with a 2‑1 win over Uruguay. Spain also qualified, defeating Uruguay 3‑0 to take the last South American spot. Cape Verde, Belgium and Egypt completed the set of new qualifiers, each winning their groups. The five join 27 teams for initial elimination stage.
It starts on 12 July. Games will be staged throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Organisers say the knockouts will continue through early August. The draw will determine who faces whom.
