Dollarama released a recall of Heavenly Spices garlic powder in Canada after tests carried out found harmful bacteria.
Health warnings published say it may cause gastrointestinal distress if eaten.
Customers are advised to dispose of it and take leftovers back to stores.
The recall covers every packages sold at Dollarama outlets across Canada now.
Dollarama has labeled it a protective measure and did not reveal how many units were affected.
The issue comes after comparable problems in the United States earlier this year.
